Chris is now freelance, working with companies, organisations and individuals who want to make a difference to the world in which we all live. He is available as a motivational and inspirational speaker and as an adviser on all aspects of campaigning, PR and communications, sustainability, eco design, waste and resource efficiency, organisational management and events management (Chris ran the famous SAS Ball for 11 years).
Chris works on a portfolio of projects at different levels from one off public speaking engagements through to voluntary work for good (and penniless!) causes. He prefers to work “with” people and organisations rather than “for them”.
“ Looking back at ten years of Surfers Against Sewage there were some key principles that we had followed and these are applicable to most things in life. If you want to get the most out of whatever you are doing, from big business through to running a small pressure group, then there are some clear guidelines that will help.”
“ One of the most frustrating things in life is lack of action, fear of making decisions. I am a strong believer in the 70:30 principle. So long as you are 70% sure of the decision and the remaining 30% won’t kill anyone then MAKE THE DECISION. Not taking the action guarantees you fail! If you hesitate when going for a wave the chances are you’re going to get pitched with the lip! And that applies to everything!”
Chris has presented many keynote speeches, presentations and worked with many national an international media organizations.
